So I’ve seen that Discord is now allowing bot developers to add

• Custom Avatar (Per server)
• Custom banner (Per server)
• Custom bio (Per server)
• And then of course, custom names (Nicknames | Old).

I’d love to be able to fully customize Mimu, without payment. Though it could be added as a paid feature, it would be nice for non-paid!

this is technically custom mimu & it wouldn’t be fair to the users who do pay for custom mimu ^

I like this new feature and I do feel like it’s something mimu can take advantage of since the brand is focused on aesthetics and customisation (ars). it could be a premium perk, or a whole separate paid perk if the devs wanted to set that up (though that would be a bit complex). obvs we all love free things, but I don’t think this should be a free feature tbh.

in general tho, I think it would be good to have a customisation option outside of moms since they’re not in everyone’s budget, AND using per server profiles doesn’t take as much resources (/ money from the devs). adding per server customisation won’t really detract too much from the mom tier since the biggest draw of that is special hosting and support ^^ and the small increase in key perks might encourage more purchases. just my thoughts! x

it would still be a custom mimu though, ales’s point still stands. there’s a few issues i can see, but please note my thoughts are not indicative of what our devs actually think about this and are solely my own thoughts:

1. some mym owners i know have done it for the customizability; the separate container was just a plus from that.
2. this directly impacts mimu’s branding, so i don’t see it becoming free or easily accessible; if, for example, a user decides to change mimu’s profile to something inappropriate. this directly reflects onto mimu and what it represents. i don’t know if a single monthly key payment would be enough to deter bad actors.
   as i said, please do not take my thoughts as the end-all-be-all as that’s not the case. this is just what i think and from what i know :thumbsup:

we have to set up the custom bot and are able to see its profile. since myms cost more than premium, the users requesting a set up tend to take it more seriously as its for their server. we haven’t had any issues with this.
EDIT: i went back and reread this and didn’t like my wording. by more seriously i don’t mean that premium users dont take it seriously, i mean that mym owners pay 5x the price of premium for customizability

What about a disclaimer?

no plans on doing this as of right now as there are mostly only drawbacks for us in terms of business perspective. if done it will be monetized.
