Back to original Stargift#768

The button Stargift is kinda annoying and inconvenient
I’ve accidentally clicked the wrong person before we had confirm
and I’ve also accidentally cancelled a few times.

• i just thinking it’s weird to take it from 2 steps to now 3 steps.
  id really prefer just going back to the original where all you had to do was buy it and send the id/@ of who to give it to
  but if it could be more like bless at least that would also better.
  as is it’s just annoying that’s it’s now 3 steps long with a drop down that’s finicky because discord doesn’t implement things well.

i want to clarify:
i think the main issue is just how bad discord did with implementing slash commands/the dropdown option, not how it was implemented on mimu.

it’s so sad I wanna adopt the new discord stuff so bad to make it better of an experience but it’s like discord cannot make my life easy HAHAHHA

I’m sorry 😭 discord is just terrible with designing UI.
i feel like they don’t test run anything sometimes 😭

from my point of view – i think the new feature is great, especially because i know sometimes people can click wrong users and it automatically sends (sometimes, i haven’t witnessed this YET as it waits for me to click a user) which is a pain, and the confirmation really helps a lot so you don’t waste a ticket.

discord can totally also be a pain at times but the confirmation helps well, because you can just cancel it instead of (like i mentioned) wasting a ticket

the confirmation isn’t bad, i just think it would be easier to have the old way back because then you really don’t need to confirm, you just sent the @/ID and it was done.
again, honestly i think discord is the one that’s failing here, the drop down is too sensitive to misclicking/doesn’t like to pull up people based on nickname.

The old system had a lot of tech debt so when I rewrote it, I got rid of it. So to bring it back to what it was. I kind of have to rewrite it again so it works with the new system (the rest of the command)

Not as simple as “just revert back to before” – will undo other features that use the same helper functions.

I have an idea, but i will consider if its possible and stuff. Since the last update of the year already went out, dont expect anything soon, but stay tuned! (:
