Prefix along with slashes#835

now ik this have been rejected many times but the reasons it’s rejected is plainly stupid, does a bot need to have slashes? obviously, that’s basic common knowledge but it can totally run both together and that would be no issues with discord policy, you can keep the slashes and make a new command to set up prefixes for your server and let them work along the slashes doesn’t have to be a . it can be whatever you want it to be and that’s totally okay with discord policy a lot of bots have it and mimu isn’t exactly new it’s been around long enough. Plus, come on, check the bots room and you’ll see prefixes commands running who are we kidding here

is it gonna be easy? no, not really. But it’s possible if you want it to be possible, they’re already working let’s not bullshit here it’s just a matter of making them global. Don’t say discord policy doesn’t allow when all it did was just say a bot should have slashes. a lot of people asked for this enough to be considered.

ignoring your offensive tone, use of profanity and the dismissal of previous rejections, you should realise that slash commands have already been implemented & changing such a major component of mimu is, as you said, not easy. it would take time and testing to ensure it works smoothly.

as stated in the official discord documentation (https://docs.discord.com/developers/interactions/application-commands) , discord intended for slash commands to be the new native default for bots. hence, iara and the rest of our support team have already adapted to this system for years and gone through months of testing to ensure users (especially newer ones) can use the bot. suggesting this change in such a tone isn’t exactly encouraging us down that path.

we have the autoresponder feature if you wish to create your own custom commands.
